Young Guns

COLLINS was invited by the One Club For Creativity to create a poster for their prestigious Young Guns Competition. The international cross-disciplinary competition celebrates the vanguard of creative professionals 30 years of age and under who have demonstrated disproportionate talent and impact in their early careers.

Founded in 1996, this award has grown to become one of the most coveted honors for young creative people around the globe. For many, being named a Young Guns winner is a sure sign of a skyrocketing career, as well as a source of validation for all of the stressful days and sleepless nights that have come with early successes. This year — the 15th since its inception — was a special one for us, as COLLINS had two team members among the 32 winners; Ben Crick and Christian Widlic.

Our solution is inspired by the award itself - a beautiful resin cube with multi-colored corners and a central sphere created by RoAndCo Studio. Instead just making a poster alone, however, we turned the work into a massive, unfolding zine that showcases work from each winner - which all the attendees could keep as a momento of a great night.
